A Dialogue or Monologue

An alien with beautiful eyes and a smile full of grace encountered a human who seems to be engrossed about something. Their conversation is as below:

Alien: What is that you are thinking about?

Human: You must not have noticed, this world is full of issues, concerns. I have so many duties & responsibilities. It’s not that I’m not happy but there is a constant struggle to prove

Alien: To whom & what do you prove?

Human: We need to fight for our existence & prove that we are worthy for our work & literally everything- it’s called competition.

Alien: Survival of the fittest, is it?

Human: Yes

Alien:  It is an animal instinct. I thought humans are above these animal instincts. When you are blessed with bountiful of resources on this Mother Earth why do you still struggle?

Human: Because we all fight for the same pie. We struggle to prove our existence. But yes, sadly there are few of us who struggle to meet ends.

Alien: You appear to be a bit contradictory- when you know you are fighting for the same pie, why don’t you just move ahead?

Human: Alas, wish I knew what for I’m here, I would go after my pie.

Alien: Do you think you are sent on Earth to run after pies, collect souvenirs?

Human: What else should I do, I’m just bored. I should keep doing something to occupy myself and tell people around.

Alien: Do you live life for yourself or to prove to people around?

Human: Frankly speaking, to a great extent for the sake of people around me- responsibilities.

Alien: Working for the sake of others is indeed a great quality- then you should be always happy. But why is it not happening?

Human: Let me ponder……..May be because I don’t do it with my heart.

Alien: Any specific reason?

Human: May be because I’m scared to discover the ‘real me’. May be I’m just blaming the people around me- calling it responsibility & shunning my true nature.

Alien: What is your real nature?

Human: Being a human.

Alien: What is it being like a human?

Human: Humanity is a blessing. It gives one the brain to think, body to turn your thoughts into actions & a heart that can carry memories. A heart that can feel & bleed also- A soul that can imprint & touch upon many other souls-make a difference

Alien: Are you living this blessing?

Human: Not fully. But I shall from now. By the way who are you?

Alien: Can you answer this question for yourself?

Human: Until few moments back- no. But yes, now I can. I’m a Human

Alien: You are a Human blessed to experience life in each breath on this beautiful planet called Earth to carry your work wonderfully with Love.

Human: Nice definition…when you can define who I’m so well, I wish to listen to your words on who you are…

Alien: I’m an ‘Angel of Hope’, just like you are an ‘Angel on Earth.’

Human: Do you keep coming here?

Alien: I’m always with you; you just need to open your heart for my messages to flow. By the way, do no start defining ‘you’ again.

You are blessed with an existence to live & let live; not to prove your existence. Your existence is proved each moment you breathe in & breathe out. Craft your work with love not as a burden.

Human: “Live & let live- craft work with Love…”

The Angel of Hope vanished.

The human was left in a mesmerizing state, not sure if this strange meeting really did take place or has it happened inside the brain. No clue. But the message is simple & clear.

Enchanting Characters- Santa Claus

One of the Enchanting characters one can associate with is Santa Claus, also known as Saint Nicholas, Father Christmas or  simply “Santa”.  When for the first time in my life I learnt that Father Christmas would  bring gifts to the homes of the good children on 24 December,  my happiness knew no boundaries. I spent sleepless night, analyzing, cross checking whether I was good the previous year.  I cursed myself that I should have known earlier that Father Christmas gives gifts on Christmas Night.

In the later years, I made it a point to read many a books- Chandamama (Indian monthly magazine for children) and Fairy tale books. Wonder Why? Because I sincerely believed that these stories are true. I loved to recollect what the other kids all over the world got as gifts on this Wonderful day.  And eventually I was taught to receive more gifts I should learn to share and give gifts. May be I feel this is the essence of the Enchanting Story surrounding Santa.

It really amazes and astounds me to the fact that I still cannot get over the feeling till date. I imagine Santa bringing loads of happiness and surprises carefully wrapped on the night before Christmas and placing them with due care at my place.

 Merry Christmas… 🙂

Enchanting Characters- Dhruv

Few of the enchanting characters come straight from Mythology. One such character is Dhruv from the Hindu Mythology.

Every child grows up listening to Dhruva’s Story in India. This story is a tale which tells us about hard work, persistence and hope.

Dhruv is a Prince, and is not much favored son of the King. The King always had preference to Dhruv’s half brother. Unable to understand the reason for King’s partial love, Dhruv questions every soul about the reason and so searching for answers crosses the world’s barriers, overcomes the nature and meets the Almighty himself.

A wonderful tale, with lots of questions and answers in it. It is an inspiration in itself. Not only in his lifetime, but after his life on Earth also Dhruv is remembered for his  miracles.

It is believed that Dhruv shines as a star in the Night Sky. The star that we often refer to as “North-Pole Star” is “Dhruv Tara” (Dhruv Star) as per Hindu Mythology.

Enchanting Characters-Alice from the Wonderland

“If you don’t know where you are going any road can take you there”

― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

One of my favorite characters is Alice from the Wonderland.

With some innocence, curiosity, bravery and foolishness she is the first character that enchanted me. The wonderland in which Alice is lost and/or found is a wonderful place for anyone to be lost. When I read Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland for the first time, I felt that there would be a place called “Wonderland” and each one would discover it eventually. The interesting and funny part of the character Alice for me is each time I enter the Wonderland along with Alice I feel like revisiting an incident in the past and reliving it with good old friends like the Hatter.

Finally, the best part of the story is when Alice replies to Queen that she is unafraid of her and calls them just a pack of cards. The nature and spirit of Alice is very impressive. She is an Enchanting Character and a true source of inspiration.

Enchanting Characters

Sometimes I wonder, where is Alice now and other times I imagine if I could bring certain characters into my life…
Must be wishful thinking or most of the times an errant thought….
But seriously, as we read how many characters live with us? How hard it is to forget that a character is fictional and does not exist in reality..
With this thoughts from today I would like to bring out few enchanting characters of fictional world into these virtual world.
